Earning Commissions
Affiliate programs are a great way to earn a secondary income. Basically what you are doing is advertising for a company, offering their products or services and receiving a commission every time you make a sale for them.
There are many companies online that offer affiliate programs. Most of them are legitimate and most of them pay commissions as promised. But you do have to be cautious. There are companies (and I use that term loosely in this case) out there that will let you sell for them, but never pay your commissions earned. Others may not even have a real product and are only a front to collect personal information.
Do your homework and check out a company carefully before signing up for any affiliate programs. Or take recommendations from a reliable source – like us!

This is one of our absolute favorite programs. It generates high security passwords, remembers them and fills them in for you every time you revisit a site. It fills in names, addresses, phone numbers, credit card numbers, bank account numbers or whatever you choose on forms at the click of a button. You can even create notes containing safe or lock combinations or any other information you like, all protected from prying eyes by your own password.
I honestly don’t know how we got along without this little program before we discovered it, but I do know we (probably like you) used the same, easy to guess, password everywhere before we ran across RoboForm.
At one time, your son’s or daughter’s or pet’s name might have worked fine for a password, but today we all need something much, much stronger. Every password should be a series of random numbers, letters and symbols, as long as possible and every site should have a different password.

Everyone needs a robust firewall. Your router provides a hardware firewall. Your cable or DSL modem may also provide a firewall. And if you are running XP for an operating system, it has a built-in basic

AVG Anti-Virus
Virus protection is also absolutely crucial to maintaining a safe, secure system. We have tried several versions of the big names available and they definitely work, but we have found they carry too much overhead, dramatically slowing down our machines.
The only time we notice AVG running is during its daily scan. It won’t slow down boot-ups like some of those other programs. And avoiding the scan operation is easy if you let your computer run all the time – simply schedule it for 3 o’clock in the morning (or whenever you aren’t likely to be on your computer) – it runs itself automatically!
